Precis
It is a process in which ink is pressed through a stencil, or “screen”, onto a garment, typically a t-shirt. The stencil, or “screen,” is created by blocking off areas of a fine mesh screen with a non-permeable material. Ink is then pressed through the open areas of the screen onto the garment, creating the design. This process is commonly used to print large quantities of t-shirts with the same design, and is often used for promotional items, team uniforms, and other custom clothing.
Properties of Cloth
Fiber Content
Consider the intended use of the fabric. Cotton offers breathability and comfort, while synthetic fibers may provide moisture-wicking properties for activewear. Blends combine the benefits of different fibers.
Weight
Adidas knits can vary in weight from lightweight jersey fabrics to heavier sweater knits. Choose a weight appropriate for your project.
Grip
Textures with high friction offer good grip, while smooth textures offer poor grip.
